Shanghai, To-day.

In spite of four months of hos- tilities and blockade of the | China coast, exports abroad from Shanghai were higher for the eleven months January to Nov ember than for the same period of any year since 1934, according to figures released by the Chinese Maritime Customs.

Exports totalled $169,131,000, bet- tering the 1936 figures, hitherto the highest, by nearly $60,000,000.
