British foreign policy was debated in the House of Lords yesterday, when Lord Allen of Hurt- wood introduced a motion calling attention to the progressive deterioration of the interna- tional situation during the past few years.
Lord Allen also invited a state- ment from the Government that would indicate a comprehensive policy directed to consideration of grievances and disabilities from which certain nations claim to be. suffering, and that will lead up to ultimate negotiation of an all- round settlement within the frame- work of the League of Nations and the Pact of Paris,
