Exceptionally significant financial and econo- mic measures were enacted yesterday at the ses sion of the Italian Council of Ministers, over which Signor Mussolini presided.
Chief measure approved was imposition of a levy of 10 per cent, to be paid but once, on all joint stock companies.

The measure is only a part of a great financial operation the aim of which is the raising of the costs of the Abyssinian campaign, providing for development of the new Empire and strengthening of the national defences..
The capital levy is to be paid in fifteen instalments, one every two months.
The turnover tax is increased from 252 to 3 per cent.
