Starting late on Saturday afternoon from Guiben, Zeeland. she crossed the Kattegat and reached the Jutland coast, near- Grenaa shortly after midnight last night. For the last 10 miles, she said, conditions were very bad and the people in the boat accompanying her rep atedly urged her to abandon her attempt.
Miss Kammersgaard told me that she had never before seriously at- tempted long-distance swimming and did not suppose she would again.
