Sylvandale Stumbles In Trial Gallop
Mr. L. P. Ralph, the well-known local Jockey, met with another un- fortunate accident this morning while training at Happy Valley. He took out Sylvandale for a trial gallop and, when nearing the two mile post, the pony appeared to stumble, resulting in Mr. Ralph be- ing thrown.
Assistance was immediately ren- dered, and it was found that he had dislocated his shoulder, which may be serious enough to prevent him from riding for some time to come. On being taken back to the Refu- gee Camp, Mr. Ralph was given me dical attention and was later re- moved to his residence.
This is the third time that Mr. Ralph has been seriously injured, twice at Fanling, when taking part in Steeplechase meetings, and again this morning. It will be recalled that Sylvandale was the pony which
