Rebel Forces Enter Suburbs Of Basque City
CHAOS REIGNS IN CITY
Paris, To-day.
The Spanish Nationalist military authorities before Santander state that the Government of the city surrendered following a revolt by part of the population supported by police and shock troops.
Fighting is now in progress in Santander, it is alleged.
The Nationalists are now four miles away, but they possibly will not enter the city before to-day.
The Nationalist High h Command states that 15,000 Government troops still in Santander have surrendered. Reuter.
