It is officially stated here that the Chinese troops west of Kalgan are in headlong flight south- ward after suffering heavy losses.
The fall of Kalgan is also claimed, and the opin- ion is stated that the positions held by the Chinese
at Nankow Pass will soon become untenable.
On the other hand, at Liangshiang, it is official- ly admitted that the Japanese troops there were hard pressed until the arrival of reinforcements.
