two Russell's (no relation) lost the weight, and Hyde Lay and Tuck pulled out some perfect shots to score 12 in five heads and achieve victory.
HOSKING DOWN
Macfarlane always had the edge on Hosking, and won by six shots after an interesting game in which Bebbington lent valuable, support to his skip. Carter was not up to his usual standard, but Russell (J) was very steady in the home team whilst Walker, leading in the visiting rink, was good.
skip to offer any resistance, and he was down by 10 shots at the finish after holding the lead for over half the game. Then Medina got going, and scored 15 shots to 1 în the last nine heads!
U
Way started off at a cracking pace against Nish's rink and had scored 20 shots against five in the. first nine heads; and though: Way still had the better of the game to the finish, the home team began to put up a much better fight.

the finish. J. J. Esto preserved his
unbeaten record at the expense-of Booker, who skipped for the first time this season, whilst after an even game with Glendinning, C. H. Basto scored a nap hand to make his win look more substantial t
than at one time appeared probable.
* SELBY'S LONE WIN
The K.B.G.C. did not have it all.
the H.K.F.C. their own way and and reached home by half a dozen shots after winning on two rinks. Drake was pitted against Selby and started of with a six, a two and a three in the first three heads but his ring, could do little afterwards, eventually going down by seven.
The winners fought back splen- didly and C. B. Robertson, finished up with at least a dozen marble clocks which his skip had given him for brilliant work!
Logan and Edwards had a re- markable game in which the latter scored on 13 heads and yet lost by 6 shots. Brooksbank and Meyer were neck and neck for a long time, but the home skip gradually drew away to win by seven, thanks largely to a five on the tenth head. Brooksbank was very successful with his pound- on shots and scored many shots
with it.
BEST WIN
❖
The Kowloon Football Club had the best win in the Third Division when they put it across the Civil Servants, but the Hong Kong Elec- tric Club: very nearly shared the honours by reason of their good win at Kowloon Tong. In the former game the visitors were un- able to get the weight of the green, which was surprisingly heavy, but that does not, in any way detract from the home team's victory..
Watson played a remarkably fine game against Simmonds to win by nine, whilst Bob Hall, and his mem- did well to hold Rakusen's four who, have been doing very well this 'season. Joe Gibson had a small minority against Harry Westlake, but not serious enough to jeopar- dise his side's chances.
Charlie Roza-Pereira, the swim- mer, took his side to victory with a big win over Joe Beach, his being the only win for the Portuguese side, but a bigy, enough to carry the losses on the other two rinks. Both "Opo" and "Gerry" Remedios, the latter a first team player last year, played good bowls. The en- thusiastic Rosario went down by four to Gelling, whilst Peter Mor- gan was able to secure the advan- tage over Botelho.
'SCORES TIED
The Electricians' win at Waterloo Road was almost an all-round one, but A. H. Basto and Sloan tied after a very close and low-scoring game. L. de Rome, on the other hand, was all over B. Basto whilst Muskett gained his eight shot victory by means of good finishing, although. he led all the way.
The Yacht Club returned to form with a narrow victory over the Craigengower team, there being only three in it at the finish. K. S. Robertson and his men were in good trim,

at three being, con- spicuous with some good shots, and“ they were well away throughout the game, Abbas and his men being unable to get going properly. It was just the opposite on the next rink where Bagley had a big ma- jority over Maughan, but Alves and Abraham had a tight game with the spoils just going to the visitors.
