THE RIGHT CLOTHES TO WEAR
-
It wouldn't be natural for añ actress not to pay close attention to her clothes. Nor would it be wise. An attractive personal ap- pearance contributes largely to the pleasing illusion of reality at which the theatre aims. And, to be quite frank, I've always been interested in dressing.
It is not necessary to have a lot of money, however, for a girl to present a smart appearance. It is. necessary to take pains, spend that little money wisely.

Everyone has personal tastes in dress which do not change even if fashions become different. If she is happy, a girl is more likely to make others happy. I believe wo- men should dress to please them- selves to a greater extent than many do.

STAY "SIMPLE
But when one is feeling on top of the world, there's nothing so smart as a black costume.
Beauty is individual and fashion must be modified to fit. Better a longer dress and a more graceful appearance, for a short girl than the high hem which might be more fashionable and yet might make her Keep the costume simple. The slimming problem is always with us, but this year it is here with a difference. The best of the new clothes are carried to advan- tage only by those who have figures yes, quite definitely figures. The rage for thinness is, of course, past, your figure may have. and angularity is as much to be counter-acted as any suspicion of overweight.
Emphasize your good points with the design of your clothes. Doing so has the effect of taking attention away from whatever bad points
Health and beauty are to-day synonymous, so the ideal figure is one of softly rounded curves, slen- der and proportioned, showing cor- rect measurements and a weight in strict proportion to height, build and age
A
It follows that the attainment of this ideal must be on healthful lines, so strict and unbalanced diet- ing is frowned upon. This does not mean an unrestrained orgy of fat- tening food, but it does mean that a proper amount of carbohydrates and fats is included.
Science to the Rescue
Instead, therefore, of the dieting that has been responsible for pre- mature greyness, lined young faces, parched skins and other unlovely symptoms of under-nourishment, two scientific aids are being used generally to bring slenderness without trouble and with added ad- | vantage to health. Electricity combined with skilled massage will deal satisfactorily with all the signs of overweight, heavy hips, thick waists, dowager's humps, unshape- ly ankles, over-fat arms, and so on.

Children And Fresh Fruit.
Fresh fruit is good for children; But it requires careful supervision, as little ones are prone to eat it regardless of whether it is over-ripe, unripe or even damaged, in which conditions it can be highly dangerous, causing acute stomach trouble, diarrhoea, cholera, worms.
If, by chance, your child has eaten fruit of a doubtful nature, the safest plan is to administer promptly a dose of Baby's Own Tablets. The mild yet sure laxative action of the tablets cleanses the stomach and bowels and averts harmful consequences.
As a general health corrective for infants, and children, too, Baby's Own Tablets are unsur massed. They quickly relieve constipation, indigestion, colic,
