KOWLOON TRANSPORT SCHEME

Joint Bus-Ferry Tickets May Be Authorised

LONGER RIDES FOR FIVE CENTS: ROUTE 8 EXPERIMENT

The issue of combined bus and ferry tickets in Kowloon, permitting holders to travel by the buses of the Kowloon Bus Company and then on the Hong Kong-Yaumati ferries without further charge, is an interesting transport development contemplated in the immediate future.

For the moment, the acting manager told the "China Mail" the concession will be limited to 3rd- class passengers, but extension to 1st-class with a slight increase in the monthly ticket rate is under consideration.
