LEAGUE AND PALESTINE MANDATE

The Permanent Mandates Com- mission of the League of Nations ended its 31st ordinary session yes- the terday and the situation în former German Colonies, now un- African and der British, South Australian mandates, was dis- cussed.
Before holding its next ordinary session in October, the Commis- sion intends to hold an extraordin- ary session to study the situation in Palestine.
This extraordinary session, it will be recalled, has been several times postponed. It was scheduled for the end of June, but it appears doubtful whether the British Gov- ernment will have finished its re- port by that time.-Trans-Ocean.
