Royal Air Force bi- plane, missing on a flight from Wigtownshire to Not- tinghamshire, was yester- day found on the 2,000-feet high Thornthwaite Pike, în Cumberland.

Two charred bodies, stated to be those of Sergeant Pilot J. Mitchell, and Leading Aircrafts- man G. Murray, were found in the plane.
This is the second missing R.A.F. plane which has crashed in the Lake district over the week-end with the loss of two lives, bringing the total R.A.F. deathroll for the week-end to seven.-Reuter.

ITALIAN FLEET
IN GREAT STRENGTH FOR MANOEUVRES
Rome, To-day.
No fewer than 170 Italian warships will take part in a big naval review which is to be staged in the Gulf of Naples to-day in honour of the German Defence Minister, Marshal Werner von Blömberg, who is on a visit to Italy.
Practically all Italy's submarine fleet, 70 sub- marines, will take part in the review, in addition to units from battleships down to speedy motor-boats.
At 7 o'clock this morning a cruiser squadron will put to sea; from the naval base at Gaeta to' do "battle" with an opposing fleet of destroyers torpedo-boats and submarines.
At the same time, the main Home Fleet, under the com- mand of Admiral Bucci, will leave the Bay of Naples, and will provide the high spots of the manoeuvres when it clashes with the other fleets north of the Bay of Naples.
