Oslo, May 15. ENGLISH football recovered some of its lost prestige at Oslo to-day, when Norway were beaten by 6-0. Only in the first quarter of an hour did the Norwegians make a fight of it. Then, thanks to the clever inside-right play of Kvammen, they were dangerous, and had they scored any-PETER KANE thing might have happened.
IN FACT, I THOUGHT THEY PLAYED FAR BETTER

THAN THE BELGIANS, WHO BEAT ENGLAND AT BRUSSELS BELGIAN BOXER
A YEAR AGO, BUT ONCE ENGLAND ́ SCORED, THEY CAR- RIED ALL BEFORE THEM. THE INCIDENT THAT TURNED THE TIDE WAS A GRAND FIRST GOAL BY KIRCHEN, WHO CUT IN FROM THE WING AND SENT A SMASHING SHOT INTO THE NET.
About this time Juve, the home centre-half, was injured, and although he struggled on gamely and in a most sportsmanlike way until the end of the match, he was not of much value to his side.

Three goals came to England in the last five minutes of the first half. Holmsen turned the ball into his own net following a shot by Steele, Galley shot a lovely third goal, and Steele ran away with a fourth, and England led 4-0 at half-time.
GOULDEN COMPLETES ROUT In the second half Steele headed a fifth goal from Kirchen's corner, and Goulden completed the rout with a very cleverly obtained sixth goal.
The English team played high- class football and delighted the spectators. In fact, the exhibition and the result were quite like old times. This was English football
in its proper place again.
NO WEAK SPOT There was not a weak spot in the team. Woodley, in goal, and Male and Catlin, the backs, were strong and dependable throughout, and
