GREAT NAVAL ASSEMBLY Over 150 Ships Taking Part In Coronation Review

King And Queen Leave For Spithead

London, To-day.

The centre of interest in the Coronation festi- vities has shifted to the Solent, and hundreds of thousands of people are gathering in Hampshire and the coast of the Isle of Wight for to-day's re- view of the Fleet, which will be one of the greatest sea pageants in British history.

Their Majesties, who arrived at Portsmouth last night, will board the Royal yacht “Victoria and Albert," which to-day will pass between eight lines] of ships from Spithead, in the east, to Cowes, in the west.

Over 150 warships are assem- bled, including representative ships of foreign Powers.

The British ships comprise nine battleships, two battle cruisers. flotilla five aircraft-carriers, 59 leaders and destroyers and 22 sub- marines.

The biggest ship is the 40,000 ton H.M.S. Hood and the smallest Estonia's 600-ton submarine.
