POLO PLAYERS' HANDICAPS
ARGENTINE INVITE
HURLINGHAM
ONLY ONE 10 GOAL PLAYER!
(By R. SHEEPSHANKS)
London, April 24.
The preliminary handicap rat- ings of first-class polo players those with a handicap of five goals or more — are given below. They represent the Hurlingham handicapping committee's view of last year's form.
The only 10-goal player is Mr. Iglehart, the American interna- tional No. 3. Not everyone will agree that he should be rated two goals above Mr. Winston Guest- and the England captain and No. 3. Mr. Tyrrell Martin. Next to him, at nine goals, comes an- other American, Mr. Pedley, the best No. 1 that has been seen since the war.
Of the 10 8-goal players five are Englishmen, three Indians and two Americans. Nine of these will be playing in London this season. Of the 13 7-goal players five come from the British Army and four from America, while Australia and India each supply two, the Australian
brothers who will
London this season.

Bob Feller, sensational 18-year- old pitcher with the Cleveland Indians, is caught in New York at the top of his windup, about to whizz one over in the style that observers think is just what the club needs to make it a dangerous contender for League honours.

MIDDLESEX LOSE TO SUSSEX
County cricket matches which concluded yes- terday, were featured by an excellent bowling per- formance by Butler, the Notts. professional, who returned the amazing analysis of 8 for 15 to skittle out Surrey for 110 runs in their second innings, after Voce (5 for 76) and Larwood (4 for 36), had dismissed them for 169 in their first knock, to give Notts. victory by six wickets.
