The British Ambassador Rome, Sir Eric Drummond, did not attend the celebrations in Rome in, connection with the founding of the Italian Empire.
This was revealed here yesterday in political quarters, which add, however, that Sir Eric's absence
was in no sense a boycott.
It is stressed that his absence British was consistent with the viewpoint, according to which the conquest of Abyssinia, although it may be recognised de facto, can- not be admitted de jure.

Services, Hong Kong, has issued a permit enabling the Eurasia Avia- tion Corporation to use the Hong Kong Air Port for the purpose of an air service for passengers, cargo and mails between
Kong and Peiping.
