Call For National Discipline

FRANCE'S PLACE IN

DEMOCRACY

Paris, To-day.

An urgent appeal to the French people for national disci- pline and cessation of domestic disputes was made yesterday by the Foreign Minister, M. Yvon Delbos, in an address to a políti- cal meeting.

Stressing France's devotion to peace, M. Delbos said the nation must still be strong and not fail in anything if it wanted to contribute its part to the maintenance of peace.

Reforms should go hand in hand with a certain regard for discipline and wisdom should be companion to liberty, as there could be no pro- gress without ordered conditions.

A Republic in disorder would be an easy prey for Fascism, said Mr. Delbos, who went on to stress the value of Anglo-French friendship.
