chief point of interest in the Craigengower Cricket Club's season just concluded, is the gratifying form shown by G. Souza, one of their most youthful cricketers, who has attained much prominence as the result of excellent all-round performances. He capped a very good season by scoring a brilliant half-century for the Island P. J. Billimoria against the Mainland, in the first representative game arranged for many years by the powers-that- be.

RESULTS OF MATCHES
In contrast to Souza, W. Rapley, who, last season was consider- ed to show more than ordinary promise, failed to maintain his fine batting and could total only 60 runs in seven innings. Batting Army "A" 110 lost to. Army "B" 157. for 7. figures were generally unsatisfactory, only four of over 20 being returned.
The evergreen U. M. Omar, easily tops the bowling with the fine average of 9.78, while Souza and A. K. Ismail, on occasions, also performed creditably. A new recruit, in the person of P... J. Billimoria joined the club in the course of the season, and his left- hand fast-medium deliveries show considerable promise, al- though his figures do not give a true idea of his excellence as the. spearhead of the attack.
A very moderate season was experienced, only two 'victories being recorded.
Army "A's" Season
Playing Interport cricket over ten years ago, U. M. Omar, above, still shows the youngsters how it is done. He finished at the head of the C. C. C. League bowling averages last season.
