An interesting visitor to Shanghai, just arrived, is Mr. Chiang Chin-kuo, the elder son Generalissimo Chiang Kai-

shek.
Chiang Chin-kuo has not seen his native country for ten years.
He has been for the last ten years in Russia whence he has just re- turned, accompanied by his wife and eight-year-old son.
He is seeing his distinguished father shortly, possibly at Hang- chow.--Reuter,

The amount actually collected in the street sale of flowers by the So ciety for the Protection of Children on Saturday was $2,886.02. After deducting bad coins, the net sum obtained was $2,837.22.
The net proceeds secured, from the charity ball held at the Penin sula Hotel in aid of the Society re- cently was $1,411.98.
