GUIDO SCHMIDT, AND THIS, COUPLED WITH HIS FORTHCOMING TRIP TO ROME, HAS AGAIN AROUSED THE SUSPICION THAT POLAND IS ON THE VERGE OF DESERTING HER OLD ALLY, FRANCE, FOR THE GERMAN-ITALIAN COMBINATION.
The trip is especially noteworthy in view of the visit, the date of which has not yet been announced, of the Italian Foreign Minister, Count Galeazzo Ciano, to Warsaw.
The second visit, announced yes- terday, is more of financial signi- ficance than political.
It is the visit to Brussels in the near future of the Polish Minister for Trade, M. Roman Gorecki.
He will confer with the Belgium Minister of Commerce; it is official- ly stated, and will discuss measures for improving trade relations be- tween the two countries.-Trans- Ocean.
