Planning Sugar Campaign

London, "To-day.

While the Empire sugar produc- ers who are meeting at the Colon- ial Office are busily engaged in preparing powder and shot for the International Sugar Conference; the delegates of Cuba, Czecho-Slo- vakia, Germany. Belgium, Peru, Hungary, Yugo-Slavia and Poland assembled here with identical pur- pose.

The proceedings of both confer- ences were private.

It is pointed out that the pro blem facing the World Conference has considerably changed since the World Economic Conference decided on the desirability of in- ternational sugar regulation. The past two years have nessed Consumption outrunning production and disposing of part of the huge surplus stocks.
