An important match in the "B". Division of the Men's Doubles Bad- minton League was played off at the St. John's Cathedral Hall last evening, when the. St. John's Club beat the Victoria Recreation Club by the odd game in nine in a keen struggle.
As a result of last night's win, the winners have tied with the Kowloon Tong “A” team and will have to play them for the runners' up berth.
St. John's team played as if in- spired and really deserved their unexpected win. Roland Koh and G. A. Smith combined brilliantly to make their visitors concede, two games. They also very nearly beat S. A. Rumjahn and C. N. da Silva, who were greatly extended before | winning the game by 21-19.
