TO-DAY'S
LAWN TENNIS PROGRAMME
Clarke Should Beat Deane In Singles
GOOD DOUBLES TIE ANTICIPATED
Although there is an exceptional- ly large programme of tennis matches at the Hong Kong CC this afternoon, none of them "ap- pear to be of particular interest.
Of the four singles ties the G. E. Clarke-B. O'M. Deane game should attract quite a large crowd, principally because the latter is the current Army champion. Clarke's ground strokes are severe and he plays a fine all-round game. and provided he shows normal form should have little difficulty in winning
A. V Gosano and A. V. Remedios had a narrow escape at the hands of FH Kwok and S. W. Liang last week, and they are likely to have an equally difficult task before them this afternoon when they meet Ma Nai-kwong and Li Kwan- hung.
The Hussain brothers should have little difficulty in beating Nickson and Bowerman.
