WHICH TYPE ARE YOU?

Study the faces of these movie stars-find the one most like

yours.

Then see how Hollywood make- up experts would apply rouge to your cheeks.

This series was prepared by Earl Theisen, technical expert, in collaboration with Max Factor and other Hollywood make-up ex- perts.

Theisen reveals the secrets of Hollywood's beauty experts, who make the movie stars beautiful- the same secrets which will also enhance your beauty.

HEART-SHAPED FACE

Claudette Colbert has high cheek bones and a short face. This rouge pattern is kept on the high cheek bone and extends close to the nose. It adds length to her face.

RECTANGULAR-FACE

Joan Crawford's face is both broad and long and requires careful make-up. This inverted L-pattern down the side of the face reduces angularity. Joan uses, carmine rouge.

BOYISH TYPE FACE

Katharine Hepburn is one of the few Hollywood stars who require little or no rouge for daytime wear. She may wear a little in the evening. Her eye and lip make-up are important.

You can't take the wrinkles out of a baked apple, nor can you re- move the valleys and mountaina from the face of the earth. And all the king's horses can't take deep wrinkles from a lady's face once they have become establish- ed. The plastic surgeon is the only one who can cope with this situation. However, consistent care can help delay them.

The ambitious blonde should make it a point to relax for a few minutes every day. Her high ten- sion nerves will have to be train- ed to do so, whereas the brunette as a rule does not find it so dia cult to relax.

But in the case of either type, when the inevitable has happen-

It will help to make up the oil de- ficit and stave off the wrinkles which nature has laid in her path. There is a scientific formula for the use of tissue cream. Another bit of advice from my Hollywood observations, is to chart your colours by the stars. They have started being natural, blondes are real, brunettes are genuine, and redheads were tint ed by nature. When the camera frowns on the natural colour of a film star's hair to-da she usually prefers to wear than have the natural co her hair destroyed.
