An exciting match was wit- nessed in the Men's Singles Bad- minton Championship at the Eu Tong Sen Gymnasium last evening. when M. A. Oliveira, of Club de Re- creio, beat K. L. Yong, of the Uni- versity, by two games to one, in the Second Round.
Both players were evenly match- ed and at times reached ⠀⠀ great heights. In the first game Yong was at one period leading Oliveira by 13 aces to 10, but the latteri gradually reduced the arrears tak- ing the game to a deuce, to even- tually secure the game Yong improv- ed in the second game which he won by 15.aces to 10.
