GOLDEN HAIR COLT PREPARES
£15,750 PAID BY MISS PAGET
London, January 6. Almost unnoticed. amid the many strings of racehorses, the world's most costly yearling is now doing cantering work at New- market.
He is the colt by Fairway— Golden Hair, for whom Miss Dorothy Paget paid 15.000 guineas at the Doncaster bloodstock sales last September.
Golden Hair colt, as he will be (known until Miss Paget names him, became a two-year-old On January 1. He is trained by Frank Butters.
Who Knows!
Until he has been tried no one knows whether he really will be a record breaker or just another Tuppence.
Miss Paget, paid 6,600 guineas. for Tuppence, who was such a fail- ure that he was given that name because his owner considered it was his real value.
The breeding of the Golden Hair colt suggests that he might be suitably named Fairwave.
Miss Paget is the owner of a two hundred acres stud in Essex, and her outlay on bloodstock re- presents a huge fortune.
