Discussion At Urban Council Meeting

At yesterday's meeting of the Urban Council a discus- sion took place on the two pro- posed sites for the King George V. Memorial parks, and the new market in Yan- mati. A resolution was car- ried that in the opinion of the Council the old Kowloon Ma- gistracy site should not be sold or given up, but be pre- served as an open space, and that the Reclamation Street Market should be replaced by a modern two-storeyed mar- ket which would absorb the business now carried on in the uld Yamati Market.
