CLUB'S SENSATIONAL CHANGES IN GAME
WHITLOCK MAKES A
STRONG APPEAL
MORE INTERNATIONAL WALKS WANTED ROAD-WALKING ASSOC. DINNER
(By "THE TWELFTH MAN")
London, November 24.
H. WHITLOCK, the Olympic walking cham-
H. pion, made a great appeal for more inter-
national walks at the annual supper of the Road Walking Association (Southern Committee) last! night Whitlock was a guest of honour with T. W. Richardson, the new 100 miles world record holder.
:
In making his appeal Whitlock pointed out that walking was spreading enormously in Europe, and all the countries were anxious to do battle with our walkers." It would be a good thing if we could arrange at least track walks." Whitlock added, "even if they were over only a mile."
Three of the finest hockey players from «any one Regiment in the Colony left for India to-day by the sa. Santhia, which carried away the 1st Battalion, 8th Punjab Regiment. Lal Singh (extreme left) is the finest left-winger we have had in the Colony and has three Interport "cape" to his credit, while Alif Din (centre) possesses the same distinction, as left-half. Dulla Singh, veteran pivot and Interport left-half against Macan two years ago, com pletes the tria.

BRIGHT VIEW
Whitlock is firmly of the opinion that one judge is quite Ecce No. 1 sufficient in all road walks. "If one judge has not the courage of his own convictions and is not prepared to make up his own mind when a walker is breaking the rules, then that judge should take himself off the list." was the terse way Whitlock put it.
