Are people who go around wishing Oh that Time would backward turn backward and again make them a child.
Bither they have no sense, or else they go around repeating something they have heard, like a parakeet,
·Or else they deliberately prevarikete, Because into being a marathon dancer or a chiropo- dist or a tea-taster or a certified public accoun- tant I could not be beguiled,
But I could sooner than I could into being again a
child,
Because being a child is not much of a pastime, And I don't want any next time because I remember
the last time..
I do not wish to play with my toes,
Nor do I wish to have cod-liver oil spooned down my
throat or anything pushed up my nose.
I don't want to be plopped at sundown into a crib
or a cradle
And if I don't go to sleep right away, be greeted with
