America's most modern composer, bohem- ian and playboy, has added to his past achievements that of be- coming an amateur Endocrino- logist. (Don't be alarmed by the word-it simply means 2 student of glands). In an expen- sive American magazine he pub- lished a series of articles on the results of his researches. The otherwise lengthy articles can be summarized in the classifica- tion given below. The idea is that our characteristics are de termined by the functioning of our glands, and if one or other of the glands is over-emphasia- ed in our body then a distinct type is created. His point of view in that of the average male looking at women, and as the articles appeared in a magazine for men--don't be surprised. This original competition is proceeding at 3 grand pace. D'Asis Studio has taken already the scores of photographs and
is Max Factor make-up artist working overtime.
How astonishing the result is you will be able to judge for you- self next week when we shall be- gin publishing the pictures. We are promising you a real thrill! The pictures we have seen de- finitely substantiate our idea that portrait-photography should not. be done without proper make-up.
As the Max Factor make-up artist will not be available after the 5th of December, all who wish to take part in the competi- tion must make their appoint- ments before that date.
If you missed our last week's
issue, you'll want to know something this week about our make-up competition. The idea is to prove what a great help ex- pertly applied make-up can be in modern photography. So if you want to take part in the competi tion, and win one of the many handsome prizes, all you have to do is to make an appointment with D'Asis Studio, Gloucester Arcade, for a sitting. Two pho- tographs of you will be made ---- one without make-up and the other with make-up. These pic- tures will appear on this page every Thursday and after the publication of all the pictures three handsome prizes will be awarded by competent judges to the three competitors whose pic- tures show the most striking re- sults.
