Slough Urban Council bought 200 acres of land at the western end of the Colnbrook by- pass. It bought up a whole farm for £63,000.
The Air Ministry has approved the site, and as this will be the only municipal airport in Bucking- hamshire and is so near London, the Council has been asked to hurry the scheme through.
