ZERO HOUR TO-MORROW
[From Our Own Correspondent]
Canton, To-day.
An autonomous Kwangsi Government is scheduled to be established to-morrow in Nan- ning, with General Li Chai-sum as chairman and Generals Li Chung-jen and Pai Hsung-hsi as commanders of "anti-Japanese forces.”
Certain foreign officers have been engaged to man anti-aircraft guns, while other foreigners are acting as military advisers and pilots of war planes, according to Nanking reports.. The al- leged motive is to "continue the fight against Japan," but the real purport is to secure a foot- hold in Kwangtung.
On the other hand, Kwangsi propaganda states that Nan- king troops have surrounded their provinces with the object of driving out General Li Chung-jen and Pai Hsung-hsi,
Four regiments of the 93rd Nanking division arrived last night from Shaokwan, Northern Kwangtung, and will be dis- patched to the West River towns to-morrow. Two more regi- ments of the same division will arrive this afternoon. The Gen-

Landon, To-day.
Spanish Government aeroplanes are bombing the insurgents . in the neighbourhood of Saragossa, which the loyal columns are reported to be nearing. While the cruiser Devonshire is waiting at Valencia to take aboard refugees from Madrid, it is reported that the tension among the British community at Madrid has jeased and most of them are disinclined to leave. Madrid is still well supplied with food, despite the insurgents' claim to be threatening the communications with the coast..
That the Government feels easier about the situation is in- dicated by the report that the proposed calling-up of two more classes of recruits has been suspended as unnecessary.
It is reported that General Carrasco, the former Military Governor of San Sebastian, who led the rebels who surrendered the barracks at Loyola, has been executed, along with a score of officers of the garrison.
