Swimming season is now in full swing and most of the European and Chinese clubs have already held their first galas, the Victoria Recreation Club providing some first class sport last Tuesday, while the European Y.M.C.A. also held a successful function last Wednesday night. before a large gathering of spectators.

Undoubtedly the outstanding feature of the past week's swimming was Wilfred. Lawrence's feat of 55 3-5-secs in the Members' "A" Class 100 Yards Free Style Aggregate Handicap at the V.RC. on Tuesday last. Where Lawrence is really hard up against circumstances is that there is no one in the Colony at the moment who can give him a decent race over the 100 Yards Free Style, Chan
