C.B C. AND SOUTH CHINA STRENGTHENED
UNIQUE HONOUR FOR IP KUN-YIM (By Crawl")
AFTER almost two seasons of inactivity, with the exception of minor club galas and the China National Games, the North Point and West Point Chinese bathing clubs are at last! settling down to a strenuous season, although the present gathering of swimmers, with the exception of a few, are mostly newcomers.
From among the Men the Colony have lost Chan Chan-hing: the Colony and Interport 50 Yards Free Style champion, and National Games 100 Metres champion, Chan Ki-ching," the former South China and National Games 100 and 200 Metres champion, Kwok Chun-hang, the Colony and Interport Breast- Stroke champion, who is studying in Shanghai, and many others.
Among the ladies the most notable absentee this season will be Miss Yeung San-king, the South China and National Games champion, who will be carrying China's colours at the Berlin World Olympiad. However, with Miss Yeung San-chun, Miss Leung Yuk-tong, Miss Sum-ching Yuk, a newcomer, and Miss Leung Wing-han, a former South China favourite, still javailable, there are indications of another bumper season ahead.
Kwok Chun-hang, abore, the China National, Colony and Inter- breast-stroke "swimming part champion, returned to the Colony for a short summer vacation last Wednesday.
