GAME OF FLUCTUATING
FORTUNES
A game of fluctuating fortunes is the best description of the lawn bowls Open Singles Championship match between W. Mulcahy and J. Hossen, which was played on the Craigengower green last evening and which resulted in a win for the former by 21 shots to 14.
3Tulcahy ran into a 10-3 lead on the 7th head, but thereafter Hoosen bowled so well that he made the scores 14-12 in his
favour on the 15th end. This how- ever, proved the best he could do,] for the KC.Ç. player then assert-| ed himself and scored at the next four ends to win. Hoosen scored al four on the 10th head and Mulcahy: returned the compliment on
the 16th end.
