Driver Disqualified For 10 Years

Ernest Gregory, aged 29, 2. Shoreditch lorry driver, was stat- ed at Old-street police-court last month to have said to a constable: "I have had 99 drinks.”

Fining Gregory £25 for driving while under the induence of drink the magistrate. told him that he would be disqualified for 10 years.

The constable stated that hej followed Gregory because of his erratic driving. The car turned on to the pavement and almost jammed a woman against a wall.

After learning that Gregory had been convicted for stealing a car, and had committed several-motor- ing offences, the magistrate said: "It is perfectly obvious that this man should not be allowed out on the road with anything
