It is rather a treat to see Bela Lugosi a hero.

Those in support deserve full marks, They act as though they really believed in the story, but then after all in this age of marvels it is not too much out of the ordinary: Lovely Frances Drake, Frank Lawton, Walter Kingsford, Beulah Bondi, Violet Kemble Cooper, Nydia. Others who shine and help to make the show so bright are Fred | Collier (who will be remembered in the Charles Chamier Company about nine years ago) as nimble and smart as ever, Rose Lee, Thelma Tyndal. Arline Bancroft, and the La Rue Sisters. This galaxy of talent and pretty girls is just what the Colony needs at present to add cheer and laughter, and judging by the welcome they had on their first day, they will prove a big attraction at the King's till Saturday.

With them is showing the latest adventure of the one and only "Charlie" Chan. Oland” ́ ́în. “Chan at the Circus." "Mr. Chan Oland" has been places. We have had him everywhere Faris, Egypt, Shang- hai, London, aboard ships and at Honolulu but in this picture The stays right at home, and shows us his large family at least eleven I think. Father takes children into circus, and as usual, where Mr. Chan finds himself, trouble seeks him out. This tizue it is the murder of the Circus Manager, and there are plenty of suspects too, as it appears the murdered man was loathed by most people, including the ele- phants and apes.

Of course you will suspect everyone, but the picture is guar- anteed to provide plenty of excite- ment. Mr. Chan, the able Oriental detective, is again helped by his "first-born."`naturally and~ably| played by Keye Lake. Others who help considerably are the most at- tractive pair of midgets I have| ever seen. Olive and George Bramo, |while Paul Stanton, T. Carroll Naish, John McGuire, Boothe Howard, Francis Ford and Wade | Boteler help to make it one of the best of the Chan series of adverí- Itures. (King's).
