Acetic anhydride sufficient to manufacture the world's legitimate requirements of heroin from 30 to 60 times was imported into China in 1935, said Mr. Fuller, the United States representative on the Opium Committee yesterday. The legiti- mate imports of this chemical in 1935 totalled shooting and bombing incidents 31,900 kilos, of which 26,700 came from Japan. This total did not include the amounts entering China clandestinely.
