LUB de Recreio nearly created the week's sensation with a win over Craigengower "A" last Saturday, when these two teams met at the Valley, the latter securing the League When it is noted that Craigengower were down by 15 shots at the four- teenth head, it will be realised what a change came over the game in the later stages. It was all due to Dick Basa, who piled up the points against F. X. M. de Silva, while U. M. Omar and R. F. Luz were only holding their own against Dick Alves and C. G. Silva respectively.
The latter two's wins were not enough to wipe out the 19- shot margin which Basa eventually secured, after scoring 22 to his opponent's two after the tenth head. Alves. by the way, had an inspired period midway through the game, and scored 15 in four heads-no mean feat against a player of Omar's calibre.
V. Ramsay, above, the Inter- part lead, suffered his first de- feat of the season aa u skip for Kowloon Docks last Saturday.
