SEARCH PARTY ORGANISED

* Reports have just been re- ceived of what is feared may turn out to be a holiday tra- gedy in the Colony. Lt. PAR Withers of HMS. Capetown reported late last night that a party of friends decided to climb Tai-Mo-shan yesterday as a holiday “hike.”

It appears that they set out full of spirits and everything went well for a time. Thus two members of the party be

came detached from the main group, but no particular an- xiety was felt at the time. However, later they failed to make connection with the main group, as arranged, and it now transpires that they *have been lost, as nothing more has been heard of them up to the time of going to press.

It is understood that a search party is being organ- ised.
