Mrs. Mollison Makes
A Suggestion
London: Mrs. Amy Mollison, the airwoman, threw out an in- teresting suggestion for the consideration of aircraft manufacturers in her presiden- tial address to the Women's Engineering Society.
She thinks that insuficient study has been given to the illumination of sircraft instruments, for 'night fying: "At our conference" "she jaxid, “a new woman- member ex- plained that she was taking m electrical work with a special study of modem methods of illumination. I suggested that there was room. for a woman engineer who specia- flised on the problem of iluminat-
ing aircraft instruments.
Present Costom
“At present it is customary forį some of the more important instru- ments to be treated with luminous paint, but even then it is often ́unly the important figures, such as stall- ing speed, top speed and cruising speed on the airspeed indicators which are luminous.
"The rest of the instruments may be left darkened.
The dramatic star Bette Davia shines again in a new type
of role in Warner Bros, "Front Page Woman," which will soon be screened at the Queen's Theatre.
