The Delegate Conference of the Miners' Federation, after a "pro- longed discussion, yesterday adopt-) ed the recommendation of the Na tional Executive that a ballot vote! of the coalfields should be taken on the question of action to en- force the claim for a fat-rate ad- vance in wages.

In the meantime, the Executive was empowered to conduct zego- tiations on the claim.
