new Third Division soccer team, will make a bold bid for honours this coming season, and, although nothing brilliant in the manner, of talent is at their disposal, they should be able to field a fairly good eleven.
Many of the players who will ultimately secure places in the team are either old St. Joseph's players or members of the Recreio team which won the Senior League in 1927.
A. Quinn, who kept goal for the Saints during the earlier part of last season, will probably be seen between the sticks. While Marcus Ribeiro, a newcomer, is also in the running for that position.
J. Santos, above, played for the Recreio during the 1932-33, soc-, cer season, when he was respon- sible for the sensational defext of South China, scoring two goals as the result of his amazing speed.
