SOCCER SEASON WINDS UP TO-DAY WITH TWO CLASSIC GAMES
LINCOLNS TROUNCE
FUSILIERS
ONE OF SEASON'S BEST SOCCER EXHIBITIONS RIDLEY AND HIGGINS ON FORM
(By "Rover")
"A SPLENDID example of the spirit in which all football games should be played was afford- ed yesterday when the Lincolns met the Fusiliers at Causeway Bay in the last League game of the season and beat them by five clear goals.
The first half produced delightful, clean and good football, but in the second-half, the strain of three games in as many days told on the Fusi- liers and they were penned for most of the time in their own half, during which the Lincolns scored all their goals.
The Fusilier halves made the great mistake of playing the short-passing game instead of swinging the ball to the wings.

South China A, and the Junior champions, the Lincolns, meet two Rest elevens, commenc- ing at 2.45 p.m.
Although the weather is likely to be very hot, some very good football is anticipated in both games and it will not surprise in the least if the Champion teams carry the day.
South China, who have nearly repeated their brilhant efforts of the 1932-33 season, when they won every soccer competition, are fielding a very strong side and the inclusion of Chan Tak fai, a comparative newcomer and junior player among the "big four," will add interest to the encounter.
