KERR ACCEPTS INVITATION

(By "Referee")"

FURTHER misfortune has befallen the Hong Kong Interport rugby team with the sensa tional withdrawal of H. R. McGilchrist, the left wing-threequarter, who is unable to accompany the team for business reasons, and whose regret- table position was made known at the eleventh hour.

It appears that one of the Hong Kong Bank Assistants was injured on Saturday night, and as a result McGilchrist

will have to stay behind as a substitute... McGilchrist would

have been taking part in his first interport and will be sorely

missed from the back division, where his speed, long stride, and swerve made him a very difficult man to bring down.

There is no getting away from the fact that he is probably the finest wing-threequarter since the days when Geof Lammert used to streak down the touchline for try after try.

The most interesting experiment, ST. ANDREW'S AT however, is the playing of Miss Iris ·

BADMINTON Woolley at left-back, in partnership with Miss Gray. One of the aca- son's most outstanding half-backs.
