A. B. Truckle, of H.MS. Bruce, won the Three. Mile Marathon race which was open to His Majesty'a Small Ships yesterday afternoon. Seventeen teams, comprising over 100 men from different men-o-war In the harbour, participated in the

race.

The couraC was along Canal Road East, round the race-course and back, via the harbour front, Canal Road, West.

A. B. Eldon, of H.M.S. Bruce, came in second, and was followed by Sub. It. Webb, of H.M.S. Diana, and A. B. Wilson, of H.M.S. Dun-

can.

Captain Hammick, of H.M.S. Dun- can, was responsible for super- vising the race,

H. E. the Commander-in-chief, Sir Frederic Charles Dreyer, pre- aided, and, after making a brief speech, asked Mrs. Hammick, wife of Capt. Hammick to present the cups to the winners.
