classic rugby encounters will take place this afternoon,

To on the Navy and Army clash in their first Triangular

Tournament meeting, and when the probable Hong Kong Inter- port fifteen meet a combined Navy-Club fifteen at the conclusion

of the Tournament match.

The Navy, who are so far undefeated in the Tournament, are favourites for to-day's encounter which will be the deciding factor in the tournament.

If the Army can repeat their excellent form of a fortnight ago, when they very nearly beat the Club, they will stand an ex- cellent chance of recording their first win. At present they hold the wooden spoon, having twice lost to the Club.

FIRST DIVISION,

Surprisingly enough, the Hong Kong Football Association. have apparently paid little heed to the rules of the Interport Cup Competition, for Rule 12 says: "Only players actually resident at a port shall be eligible to represent that Port in this competi- tion, and no period of less than one month shall constitute rest- dence for the purpose of this rule.

Talking this rule into on- sideration, I find with great sur- prise the names of several South China "A" players, who, as far as I have been able to ascertain, (Sookunpoo, 4 p.m.) are not residents of the Colony, but are registered members of the Hong Kong Football Association, (Chatham Rd., 2.30 p.m.) and who are, in spite of this,
