$50,704,000; sale of crushed stone $3,376,000; fees under the Buildings Ordinance $4,916,000; works executed on private account $6,052,000 and other receipts $17,709,000.
STAFF WELFARE
9.01. Many members of the staff took part in a variety of departmental competitions and sporting and social activities, details of which are given separately under each sub-department's report.
APPRECIATION
10.01. This year has been comparatively quiet in that we have had no repetition of the drought of 1963-64 or the series of typhoons of 1964-65. Nevertheless, the year has not been without incident and as always all officers have responded to the varied and numerous demands made upon them. I wish to take this opportunity to record my thanks for the support given to me and my sincere appreciation of the excellent work done by officers of all grades throughout the year.
10th July, 1966.
