Washington, To-day, President Roosevelt, in an exe- cutive order, has extended the exemption of fabricated silver permanently from nationalisation, and has also included silver sweep- ings. foreign coins, and silver of 8/10 or less fineness.

RECORD RAILWAY EARNINGS
Tientsin-Pukow Line's Big Income
The total earnings of the Tien- tsin-Pukow Railway for the month of September amounted to over $2,100,000. This is a record for the Railway, according to the Ministry of Railways.
The figures include $880,000 from passenger fares $.1,090,000 freight and $180,000 from mis- cellaneous sources.
By an order of the Ministry, the Railway Administration is organizing a Traffic Safety Com- mittee with Messrs. Chien Tsung- yun as chairman, and Chen Min ke, Chen Haun-keng, Wu I-min, Cheng Kao-kang and Käo Pin an as members.
