Dr. Barnhouse To Preach In Kowloon To-night

DISTINGUISHED VISITOR

A special meeting will be held at the Emmanuel Church, No. 216-A Į. Nathan Road, Kowison, this oven- ing at 8 o'clock when the Rev. Donald Grey Barnhouse, D.D., pastor of the Tenth Presbyterian Church of Philadelphia, U.S.A.. will give an aldrekk.

Apart from his pastoral duties Dr., Burnhouse is Editor of "Re-) velution,' A monthly religious magazine which has been cir- culated widely, not only through- out the United States, but in other countr.cs as well.

Dr. Barnhouse, who is passing through Bong Kong on a sixteen months' tour of the mission fields, arrived in Hong Kong on Thurs- day from Canton. He has just completed a three months' trip in China, during which time he has visited many mission stations, as well as being a speaker at the large summer Bible Conferences at Peitaihu and Kuling, where he ad- dressed large audiences of mis. sionaries and Chinese. The Rev. Barnhouse plans to leave Hong Kong to-morrow on the Dollar liner, President Jackson.

Extensive Radio Ministry For a number of years Dr. Barn- house has been engaged in a very extensive radio ministry. Every Sunday his sermons, as preached from the pulpit of the Tenth Pres- byterian Church of Philadelphia, have been broadcast over a coast- to-coast hook-up of radio stations..

Dr. Barnhouse's ministry has also included an extensive nation- wide preaching and Bible teaching tour, which has covered all parts of the United States. So popular] have been his Bible studies that he has spoken to great audiences which gather weekly at New York City, Boston. and other places) within range of Philadelphia. It has been estimated that in these various classes about 6,000 people make up these Bible Study Groups, The public is invited to attend. tonight's special meeting when Dr. Barnhouse will speak.
